Cerulean Salt (Limited Indie Edition) (Purple Pinwheel Vinyl)

With her second studio album , "Cerulean Salt" (2013), Katie Crutchfield created a work of such disarming honesty that it immediately became a critical darling. It's an album that evokes deserted small towns, hot summer evenings, and the melancholic search for one's place in the world. Waxahatchee combines a minimalist DIY spirit with profound songwriting that goes straight to the heart.

"Cerulean Salt" isn't an album you listen to just once. It's a companion that reveals new details with each play. The moment the needle hits the vinyl and the opening lines of "Hollow Cheek" or "Blue Pt. II" ring out, you immediately understand why Katie Crutchfield is considered one of the most important songwriters of her generation.
